The Hertfordshire helicopter flying lesson starts at the friendly
flying school, where you will meet the team on the day of your
flying experience. After a warm welcome, you will attend a short
technical and safety briefing before your pilot instructor gives
you a bit of an insight into how a helicopter actually works. Next
up, it’s time to climb aboard the chopper, for your hands-on
helicopter flying lesson. During your 15 minute flight, you will
have the unmissable opportunity to actually take the controls and
fly the iconic Robinson 22 helicopter yourself! This flight gives
you the opportunity to be both pilot and passenger – not an
experience you’ll want to miss.
Once you have landed safely back on solid groups, you will receive
a flight certificate to commemorate an already unforgettable day. A
customised video of your helicopter flying experience will be
available at the flying school should you wish to purchase it on
the day (additional £39). At this point, you can also have a chat
to the pilot to ask any questions you have about the flying school,
and perhaps even discuss continuing your training by taking a few
more helicopter flying lessons and earning your helicopter pilot’s
licence!
