Gyrocopter Flight Experience Days: Take to the skies during this one-hour gyrocopter flight experience from Caernarfon Airport and explore Snowdonia or the Caernafon Bay coast and Menai Strait from the air with your expert Instructor.Upon arrival at Caernarfon Airport, you’ll be met by your friendly gyrocopter instructor, Pauli, who will welcome you to the airfield. He’ll get you (and any very welcomed spectators) settled, before beginning with a safety and a flying briefing. Once you’re both ready to go, you’ll take off into the air and experience what it’s like to fly in a gyrocopter, “Arguably the safest Aircraft in the known Universe” (quote from a Senior Search&Rescue Pilot)  Once you’re feeling confident after Take-Off, you’ll be invited to take over the controls and fly the gyrocopter yourself! As it is a “Rotary Aircraft” you will be able to fly lower than the majority of other aircraft whilst in the air, and also take in all of the incredible views of Caernarfon Bay, the Menai Strait and the Snowdonia mountains around you.  After your flight comes to an end and you have landed and taxied back to the Apron, you can enjoy the rest of your day at the busy Caernarfon Airport venue. Boasting a fine café (open 7 days), the Coastguard’s Two, enormous Air-Sea Rescue Helicopters, the Welsh Air Ambulance Helicopter, a fixed-wing Flying School, Helicopter Air-Experience Flights and a large and very interesting Museum, the airfield makes the perfect day out for all friends and family.
