Experience Days Flying Lessons: Realise a dream of becoming a helicopter pilot and get some
hands-on experience during this fantastic 30 minute trial lesson in
West Sussex. Located at the Goodwood Aerodrome, you will be
learning from flight instructors who are also commercial pilots,
and flying in a designated training area. Flying in the superb
Robinson R44, you are able to take friends or family in the back two
seats too, so this is also a hugely enjoyable activity for a group
to enjoy as well as being an informative lesson. Whether you’ve
never set foot in a helicopter before or have a little bit of
experience, this session is ideal for everyone because it can be
tailored to suit your individual requirements.
Under expert one-to-one instruction, you will soon be feeling
confident enough to take over the controls and pilot this awesome
craft yourself; prepare to be amazed at the flexibility of the
chopper as you move up and down, left and right and forwards and
backwards. The feeling of soaring through the sky and navigating
your way through clouds is second to none, and you’ll also be able
to enjoy spectacular views of Goodwood House and Estate. Take a
step towards becoming a real pilot – and bring your friends or
family along for the ride and make a day of it! A totally
exhilarating activity that you will remember forever. When you
arrive at the Goodwood Aerodrome in West Sussex, you will be
greeted by the ground crew and given a full safety and pre-flight
briefing from your experienced pilot. You will then board the
Robinson R44 and go over basic information such as how the
helicopter flies and what the controls do, and it’s time for
take-off!
Once you’re up in the sky you can take over the controls and have a
go at flying yourself; you’ll go over several important flying
techniques during this 30 minute lesson, so you will soon learn the
skills needed to get airborne.
