it! At Sherburn-in-Elmet you will meet your experienced pilot and
climb aboard a mighty chopper before experiencing the thrill of the
vertical take-off. You’ll first fly west in the direction of Leeds
before heading into the Wharfe Valley where you can admire
magnificent views of the dramatic Almscliffe Crag and Otley, home
of the famous furniture maker Thomas Chippendale. You’ll then fly
east over the spectacular Arthington Viaduct and Tunnel, and then
it’s on to the famous Emmerdale Village! The Emmerdale set is
located within the Harewood House Estate and you’ll learn a lot
about the soap during your flight; having frequently supplied
helicopters to the Emmerdale set, the owner Robert can give you
insights into soap secrets and his encounters with the cast! You’ll
be able to spot famous village landmarks including the Woolpack Pub
and Home Farm, so keep your eyes peeled and don’t forget your
camera! You’ll return to the centre after flying over the splendid
Harewood House and learning all about its fascinating royal
history, and then passing over the Viking battlefield at Towton,
where 28,000 men lost their lives!
